At Treffos Independent School, we are committed to supporting every child's journey towards reaching their full potential. We prioritise a nurturing environment where building strong, supportive relationships is fundamental to creating a learning community where everyone feels valued and empowered. Treffos aims to identify strengths, celebrate individuality, and involve all children in their learning process.
Our dedicated team delivers high-quality learning experiences that support a range of learning styles. Teachers regularly review, evaluate, and tailor their practice based on the needs of their classes.
There are occasions where pupils may have difficulties accessing the curriculum; in these cases, effective and differentiated support is provided within the classroom. If, however, adequate progress is not being made, then intervention will follow a graduated approach. Students with learning differences may require structured learning support, which is additional to the more general support given to students of the same age. In these cases, the school may advise that further investigation is required, for example, specific screening or an educational psychologist assessment, which are paid for separately. Treffos will consult with parents before any individual screening or assessment tests are carried out. The findings of further screening or assessment may result in Treffos advising parents that additional one-on-one, small group, or external specialist support is required, which is also paid for separately.
All new pupils wishing to attend Treffos will meet with the Headteachers and/or or Deputy Headteacher to discuss whether Treffos is the right setting. Parents are kindly asked to provide as much information as possible, including any school reports, formal assessments, or IDP’s. In most cases, our provision is unable to cater for children with an Individual Development Plan. If you wish to discuss whether Treffos is the right setting for your child, please contact the school.
